Goals and Objectives:

 

This course is designed to help you begin and refine you acting skills.  In addition, other areas of stagecraft will be explored including improvisation, lighting, makeup, costuming and set construction.  We will try to see at least one play this year, and we will be putting on some of our own.  This course demands your best behavior and a willingness to memorize and perform.  If you are unwilling to get up on stage and try your best, this might not be the course for you.  We have a lot of fun in this class, but it also entails a lot of hard work.  There is no guarantee that you will get the part you want.  There is no guarantee that you will even get a speaking role.  If you do not think that you can deal with this, I encourage you to find another course.
